The disease is caused by the filarial worm, which is transmitted from human to human via the female mosquito when it takes a blood meal. A type of bacteria called Corynebacterium diphtheria causes diphtheria. Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease affecting humans and other animals caused by parasitic protozoans belonging to the Plasmodium type. It is transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes.
